The Hanging Tree a free Halloween Party Game

THE HANGING TREE: You'll find that Halloween is a great time to play spooky party games. One of the scarier children's Halloween party ideas is the Hanging Tree; a magical game of chance. Halloween night is the perfect time to play this game. Mention in the invitations that part of the party will be outdoors and warm clothes may be needed. You will need 12 red apples, 1 green apple, plenty of string, a tree branch or clothes line. These will, of course, make good decorations as well as party favors. String each apple up on the tree and make sure they hang low enough for the kids to reach. Blindfold one child at a time and take them to the tree, spin them around and have them recite the magical rhyme with you: 13 apples hanging from a tree, 12 dark red and one bright green. Blindfolded, spun around, and then set free. Is that green one meant for me? Point the child in the right direction and watch them stumble around and choose an apple. If they choose the green one their wish will come true! This Halloween game is a great way to start off the spooky night.
